Andy Warhol

He was born on August 6, 1928 In Pittsburg,Pennsylvania in afamily of Czech origin.
He studied at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, specializing in painting and sculpture. When he finished the race in 1949 he moved to New York. Quickly in this city, he began to worked as an advertising ilustrator and graphic designer. These tasks were carried out by advertising agencies and magazines Glemour, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, "Tiffany & Co".
Warhol took an interest in consuming products and he apreciated the importance to reach the mass media as a way to extend the art. And this is what Andy did, renewing the popular culture to make consumer items to become art, there by creating the artistic movement for Art.
He pioneered the use of large format photographs that served as the basis for oil paintings or ink. This technique allowed him to produce a series of repetitive images, whit slight variations, among the highlights are the famous "Campbell soup" can, pictures of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and Mao, among others. Afther he became the portraitist of high society.
In the 1960´s he created " Factory", where he attended a creative workshop artist, actors, musicians and people who, like him, believed that art is what viewers consume images in which the author´s signature becomesa trademark.
I like him because his art was different an it was the bigining of the Pop Art. The advertising ilustrator and graphic designer were his life. I hope that my life will be the same
